Carl Albert State College ( CASC) is a public community college with its main campus in Poteau, Oklahoma. Originally named Poteau Junior College, it was founded in 1933, and its name changed to Poteau Community College in the early 1950s.
Carl Albert State College (CASC) has a rich tradition of serving eastern Oklahoma with educational opportunities, beginning in 1933 when it first opened its doors in the old Poteau High School building during the Great Depression.
