North Carolina Real Estate Commission In order to qualify for licensure through Reciprocity with any of the listed states above, you must contact that state's Commission, complete that state's appropriate forms and satisfy their requirements for licensure as set forth in the reciprocal agreements.
Per SC Code Ann. § 40-57-110(B), a licensee may place a license on inactive status. Inactive status licenses are to be renewed in the same manner as active licenses and are prohibited from engaging in the practice of real estate or property management (SC Code Ann. §§ 40-57-20 and 40-57-780).
To qualify for Full CE Exemption, in accordance with SC Code Ann. § 40-57-340(B)(1)(d) a licensees must meet the following criteria: Twenty-five (25) years or more of licensure in South Carolina. Age sixty-five (65) or more (submit a copy of state/federal ID with date of birth with form).
It is the responsibility of the Broker in Charge or Property Manager in Charge to approve of forms to be utilized by the brokerage or management company. Professional Associations or Real Estate Attorneys may be able to assist or provide forms for your office.
