(Through their AAA membership plan.) Any information on either, or both of these tour choices will be greatly appreciated.

AAA commission (collected from hotels) is generally 10%. OTA's usually get 15% or more. For the lodging portion I would think they would be competitive. As far as a package goes, AAA package rates are usually around 20-25% commission to the agency.
