The frog bite was very good on Balsam. Locate lilipads or matted vegetation on top of the water. Find these areas and fan cast them and you will find some decent fish.
It is located near the town of Balsam Lake, WI. All the stats say it covers 1901 acres, but the sign at the landing says “A 2054 Acre Water Recreational Resource.” Either way, this is a beautiful lake that is becoming a favorite of mine to fish.

15 Δεκ 2004 · Posted December 16, 2004. I seen some guys out there yesterday but I don't know how they did. There only in the bays, the main lake as only a inch or so of ice on it. Good luck.
