4 Μαρ 2011 · Since 1985, the Lifeline program has provided a discount on phone service for qualifying low-income consumers to ensure that all Americans have the opportunities and security that phone service brings, including being able to connect to jobs, family and emergency services.
California LifeLine provides discounted home phone and cell phone services to qualified households. Only one California LifeLine discounted phone is allowed per household (except for teletypewriter users and for Deaf and Disabled Telecommunications Program participants).
Lifeline is a federal assistance program that lowers your monthly cost of phone service, internet service, or a bundled package of phone and internet. Customers who qualify will get at least a $9.25 discount per month. Customers who live on federally recognized tribal lands may get up to an extra $25 monthly discount.
