The linear dimensions must be 62 inches (158 centimeters) or less. Many airlines refer to “maximum linear dimensions” when talking about baggage allowances.

Overweight baggage fees apply to bags that exceed 50 lbs and bags cannot exceed 115 linear in/292 cm (length + width + height).
