Forgot your FSA ID? Learn how to retrieve your username and reset your password for federal student aid.
You may change your password/passphrase by clicking on the 'Change Password/Passphrase' link from the login page at any time, or by clicking the 'Change Password/Passphrase' button when prompted from the password/passphrase notification page.
There are options, including “Forgot Password” and “Forgot Username,” on the FSA login page where you enter your FSA ID. Visit these links, and you’ll be able to request a secure code. This code allows you to either reset your password or get your username.

You’ll have an opportunity to link your current Federal Student Aid PIN to your FSA ID. Doing so allows you to use your newly created FSA ID almost immediately to log in to the five ED websites listed above. Even if you’ve forgotten your FSA PIN or don’t have one, you can still create an FSA ID.
Q: What if I forget my FSA ID username or password? A: Don’t worry. On our log-in pages, you’ll find links that give you the option of retrieving your username or password through your verified e-mail address or by successfully answering your challenge questions.
