29 Αυγ 2022 · Let's say you want to type 1/2, 1/4, or 3/4 using the fraction slash with superscript (numerator) and subscript (denominator), such as ½, ¼, or ¾. Unlike Android, which has a simple shortcut in the keyboard to type these types of fractions out, iOS has no default option to type fractions as one-character glyphs.

2 Ιαν 2022 · You cannot directly enter fractions (or other glyphs) from the iPad on-screen keyboard. There are keyboard Apps that add additional keyboards that you can install from the App Store - or you can use the native text-replacement feature of iOS/iPadOS.
21 Οκτ 2014 · System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Text (Tab) -> Little ( + ) symbol on the bottom left -> It will create an entry -> Type ( 1/2 ) on the left in the ( Replace ) Column -> Type ( ½ ) on the right in the ( With ) column.

15 Απρ 2012 · Many character sets provide single special characters for fractions like 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, etc. Can these be typed on an iPad? I have found GlyphBoard that lets you paste them in but it dates back to 2009 and I wondered if native support may have been added in the interim.
