Celebrating its twelfth anniversary in July 2024, Find Waldo Local has become a beloved summertime event in communities nationwide with hide-and-seek fun designed to encourage residents to patronize their local businesses. To join in the fun, people can simply pick up a “Find Waldo Local” stamp card at any of the 310 participating stores below.

Find Waldo Local Postponed Until July 2021, With Digital Version in 2020. Although the physical campaign is on hold, Candlewick and the American Booksellers Association are working together to create a turnkey digital Waldo scavenger hunt for independent bookstores to host this summer.

Candlewick Press and ABA are partnering to bring “Find Waldo Local” to Main Street USA this July. Indie booksellers nationwide are invited to host a month-long scavenger hunt for Waldo throughout local businesses. The community-wide event was developed to help spread the Shop Local message.
