The lake is located around 15 minutes from West Glacier. Additionally, you can catch a shuttle to Lake McDonald from any of the other stops along the Going-to-the-Sun Road, including Apgar Village, The Loop, Avalanche Creek, and the Logan Pass Visitor Center.
