I'm looking for recommendations of games that are either free to play or very low cost and don't require a monthly subscription. I also enjoy older games that may now be freeware. Some examples of this are Star Control II (now called The UrQuan Masters ) and SimCity ( Micropolis ).
Obviously anyone can like anything. That said, the games that really got my girlfriend into gaming were Stardew Valley, Skyrim, My time at Portia, and Minecraft. Currently I would recommend Slime Ranchers 2. As others have said though, game pass is the way to go for now.
