20 Νοε 2023 · apex, and omega are second tier companies which have good reputations. BUT late december early january is the very very peak season and you may struggle to get rental car and accommodatons. i would definitely recommend you postpone to mid february.

Two hire car companies surged ahead in terms of customer satisfaction with the booking process: both Apex Car Rentals and Thrifty. Hertz and Avis each received four stars for their respective booking processes; Budget and Jucy followed with three.
Seems that APEX are very popular in New Zealand and glad we booked ours early for November this year. The prices were very good too. Way cheaper than the major brands directly at the airport and a slightly older vehicle.
