The Reno Nevada Temple was dedicated on the same day as the Memphis Tennessee Temple. Groundbreaking Ceremony. Presiding at the groundbreaking services on Pioneer Day, Elder Rex D. Pinegar of the Seventy and president of the North America Southwest Area called the groundbreaking a good time to honor the pioneers.

21 Μαρ 2024 · The Reno Nevada Temple is the 81st operating temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The first temple built in Nevada was in Las Vegas in 1989. Ten years later ground was broken for a second Nevada temple, this time in Reno.

Monson, then first counselor in the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, dedicated the Reno Nevada Temple 23 April 2000.
