For domestic itineraries, the report must be created not later than four (4) hours after either: (a) Arrival of the flight on which the loss, damage, or delay is alleged to have occurred, or; (b) Receipt of the Baggage, whichever is applicable to the claim.

At Southwest Airlines, we allow each passenger to bring one carry-on bag and one personal item on board. The carry-on bag should not exceed the dimensions of 10 x 16 x 24 inches (24 x 40 x 60 cm) and must fit in the overhead bin or under the seat in front of you.
When checking baggage, allow sufficient time for it to be placed on your flight. Baggage checked in 45 minutes or less before the scheduled or posted departure time (whichever is later) is considered “Late Check”
Baggage for international flights will not be accepted if presented less than 60 minutes prior to scheduled departure. For flights departing Aruba (AUA), baggage will not be accepted if presented less than 75 minutes prior to scheduled departure.
