If you cancel your booking within 24 hours of booking, you can choose either to a) receive a method-of-payment refund or b) hold the value of the ticket as a flight credit or Transferable Flight Credit TM (depending on the fare) to buy a future flight.
If you have been exposed to someone with a respiratory virus, have symptoms, or tested positive, please follow current Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance regarding isolation. If you need to rebook or cancel, please access your reservation online and follow the prompts to do so.
Most flights can be easily canceled on our website or in our app without needing to call. Look for the Manage Reservations option on our website or app and then tap or click the Cancel option.

Fares are reusable, but not fully refundable. If you cancel your flight, the value of your ticket can be applied to future travel. Flight credits unexpired on or created on or after July 28, 2022 do not expire. Fares may carry some usage, advance purchase, or other conditions.
Southwest Airlines is aware that government mandates have resulted in restrictions on air travel due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
