We may require a carry-on bag to travel as a checked bag if it cannot be safely stowed on a particular flight. Checked bags: Maximum of 62 linear inches (length + width + height; 158 cm) including handles and wheels and maximum of 50 pounds (22.6 kg) in weight.
Current bag prices are available here. One personal item that fits in the smaller sizer box (like a small backpack) is included with your ticket. Another personal item or anything larger like a standard carry-on or checked bag will need to be paid for.
You can check in as many bags as you like up to the weight allowance for your travel class. Each individual bag must not weigh more than 32kg. The weight concept applies to all routes, except when you travel to and from the Americas and from Africa (for tickets issued before 9 August 2021).
5 Ιουν 2024 · The airline has announced that it has increased the checked-bag weight allowance to 50 pounds (up from 40 pounds). Additionally, it has extended future travel voucher expiration dates to 12 months (for vouchers issued on or after June 3, 2024).
25 Ιαν 2024 · When can you check-in bags for Spirit Airlines? You usually will be able to check-in two to three hours prior to your flight. For domestic flights, Spirit Airlines recommends that guests arrive at the airport at least two hours prior to the scheduled departure.
If you are accessing your reservation less than 24 hours prior to departure, simply go to the Online Check-in tab and follow the instructions to access your reservation. You can then click the "Add Bags" link to purchase additional bags. Remember to purchase your bags in advance to save more!
