Under the Air Carrier Access Act (ACAA), all major US airlines must allow service animals to travel in the passenger cabin with their handler at no additional cost. This includes Spirit Airlines.
Spirit Airlines adheres to the rules and regulations as set forth by the U.S. Department of Transportation. Spirit only accepts service animals if evidence of training or service is presented. Similarly, all passengers traveling with an emotional support animal must provide current documentation.
