Hike from the Pacific Ocean all the way up to the Pantoll Ranger Station. This route offers spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean, rushing streams, and beautiful waterfalls. The hike begins along the Dipsea Trail in the town of Stinson Beach. It climbs gradually with many ocean views until you reach its junction with the Steep Ravine Trail.
From Pantoll Campground, follow the Old Mine Trail until you reconnect with the Dipsea Trail, which will take you back down to Stinson Beach. This trail offers many scenic views of the Pacific Ocean, as well as stunning walks through coastal chapparall and redwood forests.

The loop connects Stinson beach and Pantoll Station via Dipsea, Steep Ravine, and Matt Davis Trails. As mapped, it begins from Stinson Beach and tackles the uphill first, but Pantoll is a perfectly good starting point if you want the downhill first.
