International checked bag limits. Some places outside of the U.S. have their own limits for checked bags. If you are flying to, from, or through these places, you can only check oversized, overweight and extra bags if you follow certain rules. These international embargoes can change without notice.

The United carry-on size policy requires your carry-on bag to be no larger than 22 inches by 14 inches by 9 inches. The exception, and where things get complicated, is if you book a United basic economy ticket.

International Basic Economy checked baggage / hold luggage fees are $60 USD for the first bag and $100 USD for the second.
