Win Schuler. When he returned home from World War II, Win Schuler took over his father’s hotel, restaurant, and bowling alley. One night after the pin boys went on strike, Schuler said, “I think I want a restaurant that will seat 600 people!” and so dining tables replaced the bowling lanes.

Under Hans’ leadership, Win Schuler’s concentrated on the flagship restaurants in Marshall and Stevensville, Mich. He also developed the concept of Winston’s Pub at the Marshall location in the early 1980s that remains very popular today.
