This document is the official code of ethics for teachers in the Philippines, adopted by the Board for Professional Teachers. It covers the scope, limitations, and principles of teachers' duties and responsibilities to the state, the community, the profession, and the learners.

The International Code of Ethics for Educators (ICoEE) is a comprehensive, ethical, human rights-based code for educators worldwide, who teach children from birth to 18 years of age. It is an aspirational document of principles designed to guide educators as they navigate complex ethical dilemmas and seek to better serve their communities.
This Code covers all public and private school teachers in all educational institutions at the preschool, primary, elementary, and secondary levels whether academic, vocational, special, technical, or non-formal.
