INDICATIONS AND USAGE. Promethazine is useful for: Perennial and seasonal allergic rhinitis. Vasomotor rhinitis. Allergic conjunctivitis due to inhalant allergens and foods. Mild, uncomplicated allergic skin manifestations of urticaria and angioedema. Amelioration of allergic reactions to blood or plasma. Dermographism.
Promethazine should not be used by children younger than 2 years because it may cause serious (possibly fatal) slow/shallow breathing. When this medication is used by children 2 years and older, the lowest effective dosage should be used, and other drugs that affect breathing should be avoided.
Dosage Information. Nurofen for Children Baby 3+ months – Orange 100mg/5ml Oral Suspension Up to 8 hours pain and fever relief. Nurofen for Children 3 months to 9 years – Orange 100mg/5ml Oral Suspension Up to 8 hours pain and fever relief.
