Since all men are unrighteous by nature, Paul says here that the way to become righteous before God is through faith. 1 ημέρα πριν · In verse 10, Jeremiah employs the metaphor “He is a bear lying in wait for me, a lion in hiding.” Using the emotion that misery sometimes brings, Jeremiah described all the ways that they felt God opposed and even attacked them. God was like the bear and the lion waiting for a surprise attack.

We can trust him and rely upon him. He is worthy of our confidence. Even if father and mother might abandon us, the Lord will take care of us (Psalm 27:10).
Romans 11:6 NLT. And since it is through God’s kindness, then it is not by their good works. For in that case, God’s grace would not be what it really is—free and undeserved. I love the apostle Paul’s description of God’s grace: free and undeserved!
