27 Νοε 2021 · Hello, I recently purchased a new laptop, which requires me to sign into my live.com account. This led me to try logging in, which then leads to two-factor verification. I then enter in my other email.

Two-step verification (sometimes called multi-factor authentication) helps protect you by making it more difficult for someone else to sign in to your Microsoft account. It uses two different forms of identity: your password, and a contact method (also known as security info).

If for some reason you're unable to use your primary sign-in method, you can use another previously set up verification method. Sign in to your account normally, and then choose the Sign in another way link on the Two-step verification page.
