A Vida Portuguesa was born from an investigation of the then journalist Catarina Portas into old Portuguese products: those that had been around for decades, that have kept their original packaging and that are still made involving an important dose.
Catarina de Sousa Lobo Martins Portas (Lisboa, 1969) [1] é uma jornalista e empresária portuguesa. [2] Biografia. É filha do arquitecto Nuno Portas e de sua segunda mulher Margarida Maria Gomes de Sousa Lobo, enteada de Afonso Howell e meia-irmã dos políticos Miguel Portas e Paulo Portas. [3]
Catarina Portas, a former Portuguese journalist, created the concept in 2004 when she launched the brand “Uma Casa Portuguesa” (in English, “A Portuguese Home”). Her idea was to restore and recreate some of the very best products of Portuguese tradition.
Born in Lisbon in 1969, Catarina Portas has always worked in media in the areas of society and culture, she is the author of two books and a documentary.
