19 Μαΐ 2024 · Last Autumn was sunny, hot, but also uncomfortably humid. The expectation is for it to be 22-24 C each day, but it would be likely you would also experience a couple of days with rain in. Higher altitudes of Madeira and the north coast will be cooler, cloudier, wetter and windier.
We were there in October a couple of years back for a fortnight and we had lovely weather for the first week but torrential rain for most of the second week. Others who were there for different weeks reported OK weather throughout.

It's rarely cold in Madeira unless you venture high up. In October daytime temperatures should be warm, maybe even hot, evenings may be cooler by then, but probably not actually cold. You can get rain at any time of year - hence the greenness of the landscapes - but rarely for prolonged periods.
If you read one of the many topics on weather, you will understand that weather in Madeira is totally unpredictable for more than 2/3 days. October is begining of Winter so even though you can get some sunny days, it is likely to be less predictable than during the Summer months.

October can be nice as its quiet and the sea is still warm. You will notice that the days are shorter though. The big weather issue in PS is cloud and that is really unpredictable. Just out of interest, how do you plan to get there?
