Starting in 2019 the State of South Dakota has introduced a device called Remote Breath. This device is provide to the State by the same company the supplies our CAM bracelet monitoring. Participants are required to blow twice a day along with random tests being requested through out the day.

To reduce recidivism rates and incentivize drivers to commit to sober living and better decision-making after a DUI conviction, South Dakota created a 24/7 Sobriety Program for convicted DUI offenders.
Anyone sentenced authorizing EM are ordered to participate in the 24/7 program. When you turn yourself in to begin you sentence on electronic monitoring a person must have money up front in order to begin the program. If you do not have the money, you will not be eligible for the program.
