Update 2.1 is the eleventh official update to Geometry Dash. It was released on 16 January 2017 for Steam, and on 18 January for iOS, Android and Amazon.

On 21 December 2016, Topala announced a second spin-off game titled Geometry Dash World, saying that it would come out on the same day. It includes two worlds with five levels each, introducing features that came to the original game later in update 2.1.

3 Μαρ 2018 · Since GD World basically used a code similar to 2.1 and not 2.0 or it's own code, that made people be able to access the editor and release versions of the game with the 2.1 editor. This is also happening with Subzero and 2.2 right now.
