Wiseman gives a good summary of the Books of 1 and 2 Kings: “The narrative covers almost five hundred years from the initiation to the eclipse of their kingship. It is the story of the rise and fall of kingdoms, of high promise and abject failure, of tragedy and yet of hope.”.
Ἐλέησέ μας. (Τρίς). Δόξα στόν Πατέρα καί στόν Υἱό καί στό Ἅγιο Πνεῦμα. Καί τώρα καί πάντοτε καί στούς αἰῶνες τῶν αἰώνων. Ἀμήν. Παναγία Τριάδα, ἐλέησέ μας. Κύριε, δεῖξε ἔλεος στίς ἁμαρτίες μας. Therefore: From the previous chapter, we are left with the picture of Jesus as our heavenly High Priest. Since this is true, it teaches something about who we are. Understanding who we are in light of who Jesus is and what He did is essential for a healthy Christian life.
