For the final segment of my quick review trip to Germany, I flew Alaska Airlines’ Boeing 737 first class from Seattle to Miami.
Alaska Airlines's Boeing 737-900's service long-range and heavily traveled routes. Cabin features include leather Recaro seats, larger overhead bins, and Boeing's dramatic Sky Interior. Premium Class seating is also featured on this aircraft.

Alaska Airlines's first class on their Boeing 737-900 is the epitome of luxury. Limited to 16 seats, it promises exclusivity. Passengers indulge in sumptuous suites, gourmet cuisine, and a curated entertainment selection.
The first class cabin and seating on the new 737-900 is most uncomfortable. I will avoid this aircraft whenever possible in the future!
Our picks: rows 6 and 17, rows 1-3. In First Class pick rows 2 or 3. Avoid 12A and 33D at all costs. Also featuring the new Recaro seats and Boeing's new Sky Interior, the 737-900 (and Alaska 737-900ER) is part of a refresh of Alaska's fleet, replacing the 737-400.
