It's legit and reliable. That's what I use to search for flights and have done so for at least 5 years, probably longer. You're not buying tickets from Google or anything like that. It just searches the different airlines and you can filter for things like layovers and so on.

I found a flight on Google flights that I booked on the airline's page, the price has gone down significantly, and I want to see if it was a flight with a badge. It doesnt actually work.... it does work but it's only on select airlines right now! I believe Alaskan, Spirit, and Hawaiian to name a few.
Google flights is currently advertising a scam company (gotogate) in their flights section. I have proof of their many scam attempts and would like to contact google and request it be removed from their partners, however I am unable to find an email which would allow me to contact them regarding their google flights service.
24 Μαΐ 2024 · Google Flights is one of our favorite tools for finding deals on flights. It's an amazingly powerful flight search engine, and the best part is that it's easy to use. Google shows you nearly all available flights for a search but doesn't force you to book with it.
