29 Νοε 2014 · I like both - did Island Air HNL-LIH and HA LIH-OGG-ITO-HNL. Advantage HA : B717 (relatively rare, unless you fly a lot in Hawai'i, with DL or QF domestic...) and frequency. Advantage WP : Great people, lower altitude (nice and scenic), faster boarding, less crowded departure lounge
13 Μαΐ 2010 · We have booked our return flights Honolulu to Maui via Island Air because we couldn't find a cheaper air fare with Hawaii airline. After reading so many negative reviews regarding Island Air that were posted in 2008, we are kind of a bit worry. Has anyone fly with them recently?

Island Air has direct flights and they are actually cheaper then Hawaiian which makes you connect in HNL. Any reason not to use Island Air? Report inappropriate content. 1-10 of 35 replies. Hawaii-Based Airlines - Hawaiian Airlines to partner with Island Air - Looks like Hawaiian is pulling out of Lanai and Molokai after August 1. I hope I will be able to use my Northwest and American Airlines miles on Hawaiian Airlines operated by Island Air.
