The photo was captured by Hans Wendt of the San Diego County Public Relations Office, who was attending an outdoor press event with a still camera, and was able to take two postcollision photographs of the falling 727.
Out of all the airlines I've flown with in my life, I believe I have flown SWA the most. They service most of the destinations I travel to on a semi-regular basis, they employees are generally helpful and pleasant to interact with, the planes are reasonably clean, and the price is usually more fair than not.

Perhaps most importantly, SW was initially issuing flight credit rather than refunds, forcing people to stand in hours-long lines or call and be placed on hold for hours to get an actual refund. I could go on if needed.
