We charge for carry-ons, checked bags and overweight checked bags. We charge more for checked bags over 50 lbs. One personal item that fits entirely in the smaller sizer box (like a purse, small backpack, etc.) is included with your ticket.
4 Φεβ 2024 · Spirit Airlines charges for all carry-on and checked bags, with prices increasing closer to the departure date. Baggage fees with Spirit depend on route and time of year, with summer and holidays being more expensive. Active duty US military members receive free baggage when traveling on Spirit, including two checked bags and a carry-on.
Bags purchased within 24 hours prior to departure will be charged at the online check-in rate, so buy bags early and save major moola. If you don’t check in online, our kiosks at the airport are self-serve and easy to use. Some Guests may not be able to complete check-in online (see below).

The Spirit baggage weight and oversize fees are as follows: Overweight fee: $50 per bag if 41 to 50 pounds, an additional $75 per bag if 50 to 70 pounds and an additional $75 per bag if 71 to 100 pounds.
