8 Σεπ 2021 · DENVER – Sept. 8, 2021 – Frontier Airlines (NASDAQ: ULCC) today marked a significant fleet milestone with the retirement of its last Airbus A319 aircraft – tail N949FR - delivered to the company in 2006.
9 Σεπ 2021 · United States-based ultra-low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines retired their last Airbus A319 aircraft on September 9, 2021. The 15-year-old aircraft, registered as N949FR, made the final flight from Nashville International Airport (BNA) to Denver International Airport (DEN).
The A319 is a shortened-fuselage variant of the Airbus A320 and entered service in April 1996 with Swissair, around two years after the stretched Airbus A321 and eight years after the original A320.
9 Σεπ 2021 · The Airbus A319s were the smallest aircraft in Frontier's fleet in 2021. The jets had room for 150 passengers. Now, the airline is moving to the Airbus A320neo family of jets, which seat 180 passengers at the lower end in Frontier's fleet. At the upper end are the Airbus A321s.
