The United States Air Force Medical Service (AFMS) consists of the five distinct medical corps of the Air Force and enlisted medical technicians.
Consistent use of the national MRC logo helps to strengthen the identity of local MRC units. All local MRC units should incorporate the MRC logo in their communications. However, some units have their own identity or have customized the MRC logo to create their own identity.
The Medical Corps consists entirely of commissioned Air Force physicians, including holders of the Doctor of Medicine degree and the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. A member of the Medical Corps can also become a Flight Surgeon, and the Chief of the Medical Corps is a brigadier general.
