Air New Zealand permits the onboard use of selected support seats and medical harnesses for young travellers with complex seating needs. The devices are not permitted in exit rows and in Business Premier seating for safety reasons, and may have other seating restrictions.
If you're travelling on a seat only or seat+bag fare on New Zealand domestic or if you're on a seat only fare on Tasman and Islands flights, you can select your desired seat in advance using paid seatselect.

18 Ιουλ 2018 · Seating assignments. Bulkhead seats are in the front row, and don’t have a seat in front of them. They can be helpful in accommodating an autistic passenger who struggles to sit still or kicks the seat in front of them.

9 Νοε 2023 · Unfortunately there is no way around paying for a seat assignment as all passengers in economy have to pay for advance seat assignments on longhaul flights. You could try your luck by calling the medical desk and explaining them your predicament.
