When you get the “NOT YOU” or “call 800 number” it’s a scam. Real messages are either reply yes or no or it just tells you it blocked it. They generally don’t immediately ask you to call.
For example, if your phone number is 416-555-1234, then the scammer will call you from a number like 416-555-5678, in the hope that this will make you pick up the call because the number seems familiar or local to you.
I just finally realized myself that Air Talk Wireless is a total scam. I transferred over my benefits to them to hopefully get a phone that worked faster. They sent the SIM pretty fast, but it's been over a month and still NO phone.
It could infect the talking and may cause the phone working under more power request state by touching the antenna.
There used to be a list of scam phone numbers that you could add numbers to, it was public and you could find a listing by searching the googs for the phone number. Now i can't find it anywhere. Did the scammers win?
