7 Φεβ 2010 · Seat assignment after booking with 3rd party site. I'm looking at booking a flight via Orbitz or Travelocity. I understand that those sites does not allow seat selections. I just went into AirTran site to select our seat assignment and for the "available seats" there is an additional charge of $6 to $25. We have a change of plane so I am sure there will be a charge for their "available" seats as well.

Airtran travel - seat assignments for international flights. 10 years ago. Save. I've never flown AirTra before, but will be later this year for a trip to Jamaica. I didn't buy a seat assignment yet, as I was just planning in checking in 24 hours in advance and selecting seats.
