We booked our first flight with AirTran through Expedia. When the reservation was made there was no seat assignment. I just went into AirTran site to select our seat assignment and for the "available seats" there is an additional charge of $6 to $25. We have a change of plane so I am sure there will be a charge for their "available" seats as well.
Passengers checking in online will be able to choose their seats (if you have not pre-selected a seating assignment) and print their boarding passes. Upon arrival at the airport, you can simply deposit your bags at the Baggage Drop-off Counter .
