It almost makes me think that Cindy was involved in some way in the cover-up, but most evidence points to that not being so, and she had an airtight alibi for not being around at the time of the murder.
Cindy knows what her daughter is and she knew what she'd done. That 911 call proves it: "It smells like a damn dead body in here" — due to their professions, George and Cindy both knew that smell. She's just pretending to be in denial to avoid facing the truth.
