There are decades of handwritten history in the Fort Worth History Center. You can help make that history more accessible and searchable for our community while safeguarding it for the future by volunteering as a citizen archivist.
The Fort Worth History Center is managed by the Fort Worth Public Library providing access to local history and genealogy resources and serving as the City of Fort Worth Municipal Archives.
The Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, officially designated Dallas–Fort Worth–Arlington by the U.S. Office of Management and Budget, is the most populous metropolitan statistical area in the U.S. state of Texas and the Southern United States, encompassing 11 counties.

31 Οκτ 2022 · The Fort Worth History Center is the newest showcase of the city’s history, paying homage to the landmarks that were once on its land. Located at 501 E Bolt St., the center opened to “maintain the municipal and local history archives for the city of Fort Worth,” according to the city.
HFW stewards the 1899 Ball-Eddleman-McFarland House, Fort Worth’s second landmark. Historic Fort Worth, Inc. is dedicated to preserving Fort Worth’s unique historic identity through stewardship, education and leadership.
