30 Ιουν 2023 · Cape Poge, (alternative spelling 'Pogue'), is a tidal pond in Edgartown's intermittent island of Chappaquiddick. The pond has a permanent opening to Nantucket Sound through the area known as 'the gut' and also connects to Pocha Pond via 'the lagoon'. It had a Cochlodinium bloom in 2010 (as seen in the above photos).

Re: Advice on staying near Oaks Bluff vs. Edgartown vs. Vineyard. 7 years ago. The good news is you are on an island so there a beaches everywhere ;-) Also, the three towns are fairly close together. You can walk to restaurants and bars in both Edgartown & Oak Bluffs, no bars in VH.
18 Ιουν 2009 · Edgartown and Oak Bluffs are the most lively of the three, with Oak Bluffs having the most in nightlife and restaurant variety. As the above poster mentioned, South Beach is a nice Atlantic beach, but be aware it is about three miles out of town.
