7 Απρ 2020 · Phishing e-mails are those that attempt to obtain your personal or account information by falsely posing as a reputable company, such as Kinetic by Windstream, and ask you to reply by verifying your account information.
If you are checking your Windstream e-mail account(s) with an e-mail program, such as Microsoft Windows Mail or Mozilla Thunderbird, please use the client’s report spam or junk button to report it as phishing.
You can check your windstream.net emails in the below ways: Go to www.windstream.net and click email on the top right of the menu bar. Use an email application on a smart phone. 2 Ιουν 2012 · Windstream cautions that customers have received fraudulent emails purporting to be from Windstream’s billing department and concerning 401K information. “These are FRAUDULENT e-mails and should NOT be responded to or any links clicked on,” Windstream warns in the notice.
Educate employees about business email compromise scams, including preventative strategies such as how to identify phishing emails. Prohibit automatic forwarding of email to external addresses. Ensure changes to mailbox login and settings are logged and retained for at least 90 days.
