International Academy East Campus is a tuition-free high school. It is located on Torpey Drive, in a neighborhood east of Rochester Road and north of East Big Beaver Road. It offers a variety of programs that are designed to prepare students for a career in college.

The International Academy (IA) opened its doors in August of 1996 to 135 freshmen. The process to create the school, however, began with an idea in the fall of 1992. The IA was envisioned as a school that would provide a world-class secondary educational experience utilizing the International Baccalaureate curriculum.
