List<T> has three methods you can use (the 3 rd method is behind this link ). RemoveAt (int index) can be used if you know the index of the item. For a simple List structure the most efficient way seems to be using the Predicate RemoveAll implementation. The RemoveAll method is used to remove all entries ending with "saurus". It traverses the list from the beginning, passing each element in turn to the EndsWithSaurus method. The element is removed if the EndsWithSaurus method returns true .
