12 Μαρ 2023 · Spirit Airlines does not allow in-cabin pet travel on international flights unless you are traveling with a certified service animal. Additionally, the airline does not transport live animals as checked baggage or cargo due to the extreme temperatures that may occur in cargo areas.

Under the Air Carrier Access Act (ACAA), all major US airlines must allow service animals to travel in the passenger cabin with their handler at no additional cost. This includes Spirit Airlines.
5 Μαρ 2024 · To ensure a hassle-free journey, there are essential guidelines to consider when traveling with pets on Spirit Airlines. Pets must be at least eight weeks old, and you should carry them in an airline-approved pet carrier.
Spirit does not accept pets on international flights. Exotic pets (snakes, rodents, etc.) are strictly prohibited. A maximum of 2 pets can travel in a single carrier, and only one carrier is allowed per passenger. The combined weight of your pet and its carrier cannot exceed 40 lbs (18.14 kg).
If you are planning to travel with an assistance dog, you must contact the airline via telephone 801-401-2222 at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled departure. The animal must remain with you at all times—in the airport and on the aircraft.
