I am travelling with Spirit (Cancun to Ft Lauderdale) in August. I bought my tickets with Orbitz & see from the Spirit website that they will charge me if I select my seats more than 24 hours before I travel.
I flew Spirit several weeks ago, they charged me when I signed in for boarding passes, 24 hours before the flight. I also had Big Front Seats for the return trip and they would only let me pre-assign 4 of the 6 seats.
