There is a decent bit of fare difference between Qantas (more expensive) and Virgin Australia. I was wondering if Virgin is a fairly reliable domestic carrier as I have no experience with them. My time in Australia is short and don't want to waste it in airports.
I’ve been seeing all the posts in r/Brisbane recently about people having difficulties financially surviving with cost of living crisis, either with the price of rent (or finding accommodation) or having enough food to last them until their next pay check.
Can confirm. We have 5 flights to WLP alone this coming Sunday. Domestic travel is almost over with our last Melbourne flight arriving in a few hours, and it seems even intrastate flights to Broome, Kununarra, Kalgoolie and Karratha are being cancelled for the foreseeable future. VA is only doing minesites as of tomorrow.

Australian airlines Qantas, Virgin Australia, and Jetstar were affected. A Sydney Airport spokesperson said that the outage had affected some operations and that "there may be some delays throughout the evening". Melbourne Airport saw check-in procedures disrupted; officials advised passengers to consult with their airlines.
