11 Ιουν 2015 · My guess for a 3/4 oz. load would be at least 17 to 18 grains of Red Dot. Most powders were never designed to be used with 3/4 oz. 12 gauge loads. Xtra-Lite is the only possible exception.
6 Μαΐ 2017 · My best performing load after trying several different components is 8 1/2's @ 1325fps. I finally settled on Noble Sport Vectan A24 powder (18 grs.) with a cheddite and AA or Rem. hull and CB0175-12 wad. This load gives a good crimp and stack height. You will be surprised how effective this 3/4 oz. load is with some choke.
8 Φεβ 2006 · There's no way a 3/4 oz. load based on a published 7/8 oz. recipe can increase pressure. If anything, it will reduce pressure, owing to the lighter ejecta (shot and wad) and therefore less inertia for the pressure to overcome before the ejecta begins moving.

21 Δεκ 2017 · I have been shooting 3/4 oz loads with # 9 shot for first shooting doubles and also sporting clays for any targets out to 35 yards with no change in my scores. Any thing over 35 yards I use 1ounce of 7 1/2.
27 Αυγ 2012 · My 6-1/4# FN generates 13.53 ft/lb free recoil with a 1200 fps 7/8 oz load. With a 3/4 oz load it only has 10.23 ft/lb, a 24% reduction. You don’t notice it too much as recoil is already pretty light.
